Rico Magtoto completed his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in October 1997, where he excelled as the Batch President and Governor of the student council. His academic achievements included being awarded Top Performing PT and Best Intern at St. Joseph's Hospital. Initially planning to pursue Medicine post-graduation, Rico's career took a different trajectory due to local market conditions.
Rico began his professional journey as a Clinical Manager/Supervisor at MDH PT Clinic in 1998. Finding limited opportunities in Physical Therapy within the Philippines, he transitioned to the call centre industry, where he developed a robust career over 18 years. His roles have included Telemarketer and Sales Consultant, Customer Service Representative for America Online, Dell Tech Support Level 2, Member Operations Support Team Leader, UPS Specialist, B2B Team Sales Manager at OSS, Team Leader at Office Beacon, Freight Sales Manager at BPO OSI, and Business Development Manager at Maison Chen. Rico's extensive experience has seen him cultivate significant leadership skills and expertise in customer and sales management.
Rico was previously active in mountain biking, hiking, trekking, and participating in war games (airsoft). These days, he enjoys more tranquil pursuits, such as taking long walks with his dogs, reflecting his shift towards more leisurely and reflective activities.
Rico is driven by challenges and a commitment to excellence in customer interaction. He personalises each call, ensuring he provides undivided attention and thorough customer care. While he prefers to remain in the background, focusing diligently on each task, his humble approach does not diminish his strong focus on achieving results and his passion for helping clients.
