Education Background

Kamille Deanne Lagasca-Mahig has an extensive educational background in law and communication. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in communications, majoring in Speech Communication and minoring in Broadcast Communication, at University of the Philippines, graduating Cum Laude in 2009. She pursued her Bachelor of Laws, now recognised as a Juris Doctor, at San Beda University finishing in 2013. Kamille furthered her legal education with a Master of Laws at San Sebastian Recoletos, Philippines, where she is currently finalising her thesis. Most recently, she obtained a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law, Australia, in 2023. Becoming a lawyer was her childhood dream, and she has since lived up to that aspiration, notably passing the Bar Examinations and gaining admission to practice law in Victoria.

Work History

Kamille began her legal career as a Legal Researcher at Destura and Associates Law Office in the Philippines from November 2013 to February 2014. She then worked as a Solicitor at the Office of the Solicitor General, Philippines, from February 2014 to January 2021, handling significant cases and contributing to impactful legal proceedings. Since June 2017, she has been a law Professor at Tarlac State University School of Law, Philippines, sharing her knowledge and passion for law with aspiring lawyers. Kamille also serves asa Legal Consultant for E-konsulta Medical Services, Philippines. In May 2022, she joined Maison Chen Law Group, Australia, first as a Paralegal and then advancing to a Migration Lawyer in June 2023, roles in which she continues to grow and learn daily.

Hobbies

Kamille enjoys a variety of activities that balance her professional life. She loves dancing, cooking, biking, and binge-watching popular TV series like Grey's Anatomy, Young Sheldon, and Suits. Camille describes herself as both introverted and extroverted, enjoying days at home as well as spontaneous trips to explore new places. She also finds joy in hopping, which she considers therapeutic, and cherishes relaxing activities like spa visits and massages.

Kamille is driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through her work. She views each day as a chance to assist others and contribute positively to their lives, a value instilled in her by her mother. Kamille is motivated by the desire to use her skills and privileges to help others achieve their dreams, seeing her work as a way to pay forward the opportunities she has been afforded.
