Education Background

Dilshan Amarasinghe completed his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering in 2020, complemented by a Diploma in Leadership. His passion for Physics and Maths during high school naturally led him to pursue a career in engineering, aligning with his interests and academic strengths.

Work History

Dilshan began his career as a mechanical engineer in the agriculture industry, where he spent two years designing agriculture machinery that was exported to the US. He thrived in the role, particularly enjoying the global collaboration involved in designing various parts of machinery across different countries, culminating in seamless assembly. In 2020, Dilshan transitioned to Maison Chen Law, enticed by the opportunity to work in a new field and motivated by his personal experiences as a migrant navigating the Australian migration system. He was drawn to the firm’s mission of simplifying migration processes for others.

Hobbies

Dilshan is a man of many talents and interests. He is a DJ for weddings and works as an Audio Engineer, handling sound desks at various events. An avid Formula 1 fan, he enjoys following the races and unwinding with board games with friends.

What Motivates You?

Dilshan’s faith is a significant part of his life, actively involving him in his local church community. He is driven by a desire to serve and assist others in achieving their dreams. Working at a migration law firm, he finds profound fulfillment in playing a role in helping people secure a new life in Australia, which he considers to be a life-changing opportunity for many.
